Our mission at Rising Sun Counseling Center is to create a safe, compassionate, authentic, and caring environment where we act as a guide in helping our clients to make empowered decisions about their individual, family, and professional lives.
We assist individuals and families in recognizing the strengths they already have and find creative ways to utilize these gifts in overcoming currents issues that prevent them from feeling fully empowered.
We know that an individual is always growing personally, and healing is always happening. Sometimes each of us needs support and guidance in our journey.

Children, Teens, & Family
Child therapy supports children with emotional and behavioral issues in a safe space. Teen therapy helps adolescents navigate the challenges of adolescence and develop coping skills. Family therapy addresses family issues as a unit to improve communication and resolve conflicts.
Individual Therapy
Therapy is an excellent way to spend an hour a week tuning into yourself, your experience, and your needs. Let us help you change thought patterns so you can be free from anxiety, depression, and self-criticism.
Trauma & EMDR
Many people have experienced some form of trauma during their life. Whether it was a painful childhood, a difficult relationship, a social rejection, humiliation, loss of control, physical or emotional injury, abuse or assault, and you can’t seem to move forward, trauma counseling may help.
Police, Fire & EMS
As the owner of Rising Sun Counseling Center and a former Police Officer for 8 years, I can relate to and understand the unique needs of first responders as it relates to trauma, crisis, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, job-related stress, suicide, etc., and how there are concerns about engaging in therapy services and protecting your job. I ensure that you will have privacy and confidentiality.
Supervision & Consultation
We offer clinical supervision and peer consultation. We are available for consultation and supervision for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and registered psychotherapist. We also offer consultation services for clinicians in the area who want to start or increase their private practice. Consultations include an initial one hour one on one meeting and continuing support.
